PALAK PANEER

Paneer is almost loved by everyone and its my favorite item too. 😋😋😋 Palak Paneer is one among those tasty and healthy dishes which is also easy to make at home. I learned this recipe from my north Indian neighbor and here is the recipe for you. 😊

INGREDIENTS :

  •  Palak leaf / Spinach - 1 bunch
  •  Paneer cubes            - 1/4 kg
  • Onion                        - 2 Large Chopped
  • Coriander Leaves      - 1 fistful
  • Mint leaves               - fistful
  • Butter                        - 1 spoon
  • Oil                             - 1 spoon
  • Ginger                       - 1 inch
  • Garlic                        - 3-4 cloves
  • Tomato                      - 1 medium sized
  • Cashew                     - 10-12 nos
  • Green chili                - 1
  • Chili Powder            - ½ tsp
  • Jeera / cumin            - ½ tsp
  • Garam masala          - ½ tsp
  • Bay leaf                    - 1no. 
  • Sugar                        - ½ tsp
  • Salt as needed



METHOD :

1. To a sauce pan add onions, slitted chilly, cashews and add water until it gets soaked.
Let it boil until the water becomes half the quantity. Cool and grind it to fine paste.

2. To a pan, add water and let it boil. Now add washed palak and sugar and let it be cook
sim for 5 minutes. Filter palak and save the water.

3. Grind palak, ginger, garlic, coriander leaves and mint leaves to a paste.

4. To a pan, add butter and oil.

5. Add bay leaf, jeera and tomatoes. Saute well and add chilly powder, salt and garam
masala.

6. Cook until the tomatoes become mushy.

7. Then add onion paste and let it come to boil once.

8. Then add palak paste and add saved palak water. Let it boil until the gravy becomes
thick.

9. To a dosa pan, add little oil and toss paneer cubes until golden brown. Add it to the
gravy. Finally, you can add cream or milk if you want it to be more creamy.
