Hufffff… another year has passed in a jiffy!!!! And the Festive mood is already ON!!!! So let me give you a quick survey about what’s new in the market for this year!!
Starting off, as usual with the silk sarees; Old color combos, checks, big one side borders with a lot of circle shaped designs are evident. Silver Zari borders are back in action and they look gorgeous!! Also, i noticed a lot of jewellery designs and umbrellas (God knows why 😂) on sarees and blouses.
Apart from silk sarees, Linens and Banarasi are all over the place!!!! 😇 Linen sarees are the talk of the town. And i wouldn’t be surprised if you all already have one in your wardrobe!!
After a long long time, the breathtaking banarasi sarees are back in market!!! They are everywhere in every color with beautiful gold/silver borders!!! I really wanted to grab one of these sweethearts.. but then suddenly i was struck by an idea!!! I rummaged my fashionista mom’s wardrobe and guess what i found !!??? 😎 An elegant 27 year old banarasi silk saree with silver borders and fusion of colors!! 😮It was as good and in perfect condition as a brand new one!! And to top it, i for a fact knew that i can’t get something even close, in market now, to what i already had!!!! Trust me… it was pure bliss !!! 😇😇😇
Ruffle sarees are a new treat!! 😍 Sporting a Saree with ruffles can be tricky, but when done properly, you can with no doubts be the Fashionista of the town!!
Checks are not only in sarees but also in kurtis !! Floor length anarkali’s are still very much there. With some westernization, i see that the floor length ones look more like fluffy big gowns too!!!! I see that over coats are also majorly being a part of party wears and kurtis.
Straight cut, long Salwar Kameez can never be outdated!! I personally love the elegance and aura that they create to an individual's personality!!!
Adorable Lehengas adorn the market, no doubts about them being tempting as ever!! With new sleeve patterns applied, they can sure make everyone of us a Diva!!
Power sleeves, as in statement sleeves including bell sleeves, bishop sleeves, ruffle sleeves and a vast variety of draped sleeves are doing the rounds.
Coming to colors.. My eyes are stumbling on a lot of Greys , browns and baby pinks than usual.
Men can find that casual blazers are creating a trend. Kurtas with collar less round necklines, Chinese collars and asymmetrical hemlines are also in trend.
Linens are universally garnering attention. Linen shirts and pants are creating a hype for sure!!
