COCONUT BURFI

Hi all...The most awaited festival of lights, diwali is near. Everyone is confused what sweet can be made to family and friends. No worries.. here goes the recipe of yummy delicious creamy coconut burfi to try.









INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 cup coconut grated
  • 2 cup sugar
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder / elachi powder


METHOD:

1. Add 3 cup freshly grated coconut into large kadai and saute well.

2. Add 2 cup sugar and mix well.

3.Now add ½ cup milk and mix well on medium flame until sugar dissolves completely.keep stirring till the mixture starts to thicken.

4.The mixture starts to thicken after 20 minutes and after 25 minutes, coconut mixture will start to separate from pan.Continue to cook until the mixture starts to hold the shape.

5. Now add ¼ tsp cardamom powder and mix well.Transfer the prepared dough into a greased plate.

6.Allow to set for 10 minute, or till it sets completely yet warm.Now unmould and cut into pieces.

You can store it for a week in refridgerator and eat. If you want to keep it out just skip milk.
