INGREDIENTS :
- Wheat - 1 cup
- Hing / asafeotida - 1 small spoon
- Egg - 1
- Salt - as needed
- Oil - for frying
METHOD :
- Take wheat, salt, hing and egg in a bowl. knead it and make a dough.
- Apply oil over the dough, cover and keep it aside for minimum 15 minutes.
- Divide it into small balls, same as we do for chapathi / roti.
- Start rolling it with a roller pin by greasing oil and wheat powder, just as we make chapathi or roti.
- Cut it into small rectangular pieces.
- Heat oil in pan and deep fry the pieces.
- When it turns golden brown, remove it and transfer to a plate with kitchen tissue to absorb excess oil.
- Crispy tea time wheat bites are ready for evening snacks.
