DRUMSTICK CURRY

Drumstick is my favourite vegetable as I love the aroma of it When its cooked and here comes the recipe of drumstick curry . This is made with spices where the flavour of drumstick is blended with the spice mix and results in aromatic drumstick curry.

SERVES: 2-3

TIME: 20 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • Sesame oil. - as needed 
  • Mustard -as needed for temper 
  • Hing - a pinch 
  • Methi seeds - 1 tsp 
  • Curry leaves - one handful 
  • Drumstick - 2 nos 
  • Chilli powder - 1 tsp 
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp 
  • Coriander powder - 2 tsp 
  • Tamarind pulp - 1 cup 
  • Channa dal -1 tsp 
  • Toor Dal - 1 tsp 
  • Urid Dal - 1 tsp 
  • Pepper - 1 tsp 
  • Cumins - 1 tsp 
  • Red chilli - 2 nos 
  • Onions. - 1 big finely chopped 
  • Salt 



METHOD:

1. To a pan add sesame oil , dals , pepper,cumin and saute until u get good aroma. Then add red chilli to it.

2. Grind this to powder and keep aside . This is masala mix for drumstick curry.

3. Add sesame oil to same pan and temper hing, mustard, methi seeds, curry leaves and add onions to it and keep saute.

4. Add drumstick to it, keep saute and add masala ,salt and little water and cook until the drumstick is well cooked.

5. Now add tamarind pulp and allow to cook until raw smell vanishes and oil leaves sides. Garnish with curry leaves.

Tasty drumstick curry is ready to be served with rice or dosa...
