Tips :
Step 1 : Place the first digit of the 2 digit number as the first number in the result
Step 2 : Place the last digit of the 2 digit number as the last number in the result
Step 3 : Add the first and last digits and insert the result in the middle of the first and last digit of the result. If the result of the addition is greater than 9 add the carry to the first digit of the result.
Tadaaaaaaaa... you have got the answer buddy!!!!
Now i am going to solve few examples for your references and understanding.
1. 64 * 11
First Number : 6
Last Number : 4
Resultant : 6 ____4
Addition of first and second : 10
Add 1 to the first number, now the result will be 704
Step 1 : First number is 6
Step 2 : Last Number is 4
Step 3 : 6_____4
Step 4 : Add 6+4. Result is 10. As it is 2-digit number add the 1 to the first number. So the result will be 704.
1. 33 * 11
First Number : 3
Last Number : 3
Resultant : 3____3
Addition of first and second : 6
Now the result will be 363
Step 1 : First number is 3
Step 2 : Last Number is 3
Step 3 : 3____3
Step 4 : Add 3+3. Result is 6. So the result will be 363.
This trick is very simple which you can use it to solve in matter of seconds in any competitive exams.
