ALGEBRA IN REAL LIFE SITUATIONS!!

Recently I came up with so many posts, talking about what is the use of studying Algebra, Trigonometry, Differential Calculus, Probability and Queuing Theory, Discrete Mathematics in Mathematics.  I understood  certain things clearly in these posts.

They are :

Does our education system simply force us to learn to pass the grades or helps us to improve our knowledge in our daily life with reasoning the questions “why we learn? where do we use or how it will be helpful for us?  Or is it our teachers who do not understand / are not allowed to make us understand what we learn.

I just came up with the idea to share few information about where we use these mathematical concepts in our real life, in my upcoming posts.

My First posts starts with “Where do we Use Algebra in Our Real Life?”  Here is your Answer:

1. Computer Programming :
  • Games / Video Games  :  Algebra is useful to represent a string of characters as symbols.
  • Matrix computations by graphics, state-space modeling, ad-hoc business logic
  • Evaluating Code Paths
  • Debugging
  • Relational Database Design
  • Database Optimization
  • Processor Optimization
2. Marketing :
  • For Calculating ROI  (Return On Investment)
  • To Predict the Future sales of the product.
  • To gather information about the product and it's customer feedback  in order  to improve the product quality, business, promotion of the product.
3. Travelers
  • In determining the degrees(Celsius or  Fahrenheit) in weather forecasting
  • In Calculating the distance, expense during the travel
4. Chef
  • Proper proportions of ingredients to be used in the recipe.
  • Determining Calories in the recipe.
  • Calculating the calories burnt.
5. Financial Management
  • Monthly Expense Management
  • Mortgage
  • Share Markets
These are the few real time applications where we use Algebra with or without our knowledge. If anyone asks you “Where we use Algebra?”. Spread the knowledge of yours!!!!! 😇

Alams
