Sago khichdi is my favorite food that I like to munch on, often. It's full of energy and flavors. Yummy yummy sago, also curbs hunger since it's a very satisfying, complete meal. Now, here is our Sago khichdi recipe!! 😀

INGREDIENTS :
- Sago/sabudana/Pearl tapioca - ¼ kg washed
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Urud dal - 1 tsp
- Channa dal - 1 tsp
- Roasted groundnuts - 1 fistful
- Curry leaves - handful
- Grated ginger - 1/2 tbsp
- Green chili - 1 finely chopped
- Lemon - ½
- Hing / asafoetida - 1 small spoon
- Salt - as needed
- Oil - as needed for tempering
METHOD :
- Soak sago in water for 3 to 4 hours, until it becomes big. Drain excess water.
- In a kadai, temper mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urud dal and channa dal in oil.
- Add ginger, chili and curry leaves.
- Now add the sago and stir it evenly.
- Add roasted peanuts, salt and give a quick stir.
- Squeeze the lemon juice over it and serve hot.
