NIGHT SKIN CARE ROUTINE

Hey everyone 😃.. This post is a continuation of my previous (day time skin care routine).. And if you have missed it, i’ll leave the link at the end of this post.

My Night time skin care routine is different as i liked to take extra efforts going by the myth that the "Skin needs more pampering while resting". It's as usual, the CTM (Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize) routine along with 2 or 3 extra steps. So, here follows the products in the order of use.

La Roche Posay Effaclar purifying Foaming Gel for oily sensitive skin : This is also my favourite product. It’s gentle on my skin and non-drying. Additionally it’s paraben free. It is of course a high-end product. But am completely convinced about this product and it comes for a long time as a very small amount is enough for each use.

The Body Shop Tea Tree skin clearing mattifying toner : This again is not that budget friendly but comes for a long period of time. I also love the most budget friendly and effective toner/astringent from Ayur. But for my skin, The Body Shop Toner was more effective than Ayur, So i prefer this to Ayur. I just take some product in a cotton swab and dab it gently all over the face and neck.

Lotus Whiteglow Serum + Moisturizer : NO.. I DON’T SUPPORT THE STATEMENT, “TO BECOME FAIRER”. It even doesn’t make any sense to me!! Why should all become Fair? And No product can make a person fairer than their actual complexion!!! Lotus white glow serum helps to just bring out that glow, remove dullness and maintain our complexion at it’s best!! Nothing more, nothing less. Serum is that extra boost to our skin and of course has it’s part in the final result, especially in a long run. BUT IT CAN BE CONVENIENTLY AVOIDED, if you are not that interested.

Lotus Nutranite skin renewal nutritive night creme : A night cream, in simple words is a moisturizer with extra goodness that helps skin to pamper, renew and rejuvenate during our sleep. Lotus nutranite is suitable for oily skin, but it’s texture is slightly on the heavier side and hence slightly greasy. But i don’t mind it though, as it neither affects my skin nor the results for a fresh skin the next morning.

Lotus Strawberry Lipbalm : Finally, i cannot live without a lip balm!! Hydrating our lips, especially before sleep is very important. It helps us remove the dead cells from the lips easily, the next morning and also avoids chapped lips.
I love Himalayas lip butter too, equally !! I prefer lip butters as it’s thicker in consistency and stays for long on lips.

That’s it for my day-to-day skin care routine. I feel it’s not necessary for me to use an under eye cream, as am in my mid twenties. So maybe, in my late twenties i might start using it!! For now Good sleep and staying hydrated will do, i guess!!! 😴

Just after formulating this post, i realised that i have become so much of a “Lotus” person, unconsciously!! 😳 Funny right?! 😂 And in the next post, am planning to write about my clean-up routine. So, see ya soon!! 😀

    1. Hi Ruby :-) Yup.. All the above mentioned products are good suggestions for oily skinned people to try!! But every skin is different from the other, so even all the oily skinned people may not find the above products suitable for them!!

Coming to you, all renowned brands in market these days mention in their products, which skin type the product is suitable for generally. And myself not being either a dermatologist or any kind of skin specialist, i would suggest you to :

1.Choose a renowned product always, especially when it comes to skin.
2.Whenever you have found a product offered by the brand for dry skin, also see online reviews of dry skinned people who have used it, for a vague idea.
3.Finally buy that and try to find it's actual result on you.

And if your skin is too sensitive to risk through the above process, then i would suggest you to seek help from a dermatologist or a cosmetologist for your guidance.

Hope this is useful for you to start with. :-)
